Goal

To capture the spirit of the holiday season and invite guests to celebrate Christmas at the Wedgewood Hotel. The eblast needed to communicate multiple offers—from dining and wellness to events and accommodations—within a cohesive festive theme.


Thought Process & Creative Direction

The core idea behind this campaign was "31 Days in Vancouver", a celebration of the entire month of December as a season of joy, lights, and memorable moments. Rather than a single Christmas Day promotion, the hotel wanted to spotlight everything guests could enjoy throughout the month. We designed the campaign to feel abundant, yet curated.

Tone & Strategy:

  • Warm, festive, and elegant—aligned with Wedgewood’s brand voice
  • Visual-first layout with strong hierarchy to support skimmers and readers alike
  • Subtle luxury to reinforce the hotel’s Relais & Châteaux status

What We Did

Art Direction:

Chose a feature image of a bellhop holding a gift to represent old-world hospitality and holiday charm. The image is both iconic and non-denominational, widening its appeal.

Modular Layout:

The eblast is built with modular blocks—Events Calendar, Stay & Get Rewarded, Dining, Wellness—each with a custom thumbnail and CTA to improve click-through behavior.

Copywriting:

Short, engaging headlines with seasonal phrases (“Festive Season in Vancouver”, “Very Merry Vancouver”) make each section skimmable and themed. The main intro text evokes a sense of enchantment and gathering.

CTA Strategy:

Buttons use action-first language (“View Calendar”, “Book Now”, “Explore Events”) and are visually consistent for easy engagement.


Outcome

The eblast was deployed to Wedgewood’s subscriber base and supported their December marketing efforts. The sectioned structure allowed flexibility for link tracking and ensured each part of the hotel—from restaurant to spa—received spotlight.

This campaign served as a template for other season-long promotions, providing Wedgewood with a scalable, branded layout for future months.
