Goal

To establish a clear, professional, and trustworthy digital presence for MacLanders—a new immigration consultancy aiming to help individuals and families navigate complex immigration processes. The site needed to communicate credibility and provide straightforward access to services, especially for first-time visitors or clients with limited English proficiency.

Thought & Creation Process

The project began with a strategic audit of what immigration clients need most: clarity, confidence, and communication. With this in mind, the design focused on simplicity, multilingual support, and guided user flows.

Discovery & Planning

We mapped the client journey starting from a Google search or referral, ensuring that each page built trust step-by-step:

  • Who is the consultant?
  • What services are offered?
  • How can I start my immigration process?

This informed a content structure that began with credibility and ended in conversion (form submission or contact).

1. Wireframing & Page Planning

Each section was purpose-built:

  • Hero Section: Personal introduction and trust-building video
  • About: Consultant’s background and licensing
  • How It Works: Simplified steps for different immigration pathways
  • Assessment Forms: Tailored for specific case types (study, PR, sponsorship)

2. Hero Video Editing

We edited a short, loopable video for the homepage to add warmth and movement. It introduced a face to the name, reinforcing transparency and personability.

3. Webflow Build

We chose Webflow for its flexibility and visual editor, allowing easy updates by the consultant post-launch. The CMS feature also allows for scalable form additions and blog entries in the future.

4. Multilingual Setup

Recognizing the importance of accessibility, we planned for dual-language content (English and Mandarin), reflecting the consultant’s ability to serve clients from different backgrounds.

5. Technical Setup & SEO

  • Installed SEO essentials (meta titles, structured descriptions)
  • Submitted the sitemap to Google Search Console
  • Configured custom business email via Google Workspace for professional correspondence

Outcome

The website:

  • Creates a strong first impression for immigration clients
  • Streamlines intake with structured forms and pre-qualification steps
  • Offers clarity and calm during a typically stressful process
  • Is easy to manage internally, with full Webflow access and documentation provided

Clients now receive tailored leads and inquiries from people who’ve already been filtered through the online process, saving valuable time and improving client fit.
